Epoxy Curing Agents From Cognis

 Epoxy Curing Agents (ECAs) cure epoxy resins by reacting with the epoxide groups in the resin, or by self-polymerization of the epoxy via catalytic action. Final attributes of the epoxy are uniquely affected by the particular ECA used. The Cognis line of ECAs contains amidoamine, polyamide, modified amine, modified aliphatic amine, mercaptan, and water-borne epoxy curing agents:

•  The Capcure® line of ECAs are mercaptan-based curing agents and accelerators.
• The Genamid® line is comprised of amidoamine epoxy curing agents.
• The Versamid® line is based on polyamide chemistry.
• The Versamine® products are modified amine and modified aliphatic amine epoxy curing agents. Of particular note is the Versamine S line of low-temperature, quick-curing products.
• Waterpoxy® products are aqueous emulsion and water-based curing agents.
