Gel 701P, A New Attapulgite From Zemex!

Zemex Minerals has recently introduced a new attapulgite to the market, Gel 701P. This is an inorganic, ultra-fine, high performance attapulgite that provides superior performance in liquid systems including paints, adhesives, sealants, asphalt cutbacks/emulsions and foundry coatings. Gel 701P contains three-dimensional chains of needle-like bundles specially processed to provide superior gel structure at rest and fluidity when agitated. During dispersion these bundles disassociate and utilize hydrogen bonding and electrostatic attraction to form a random lattice network that entraps liquid to increase viscosity of the system.
