Loxanol EFC 100 (formerly Edenol EFC 100) is produced from renewable raw materials and can be used to replace traditional VOC-contributing coalescents. Traditional coalescents vaporize in the air during the drying process and contribute VOCs and odors to the environment. Loxanol EFC 100 however is non-volatile and remains in the paint film providing a long-lasting coalescing effect. Loxanol EFC 100 not only reduces the VOC content of the coating but also improves certain key performance factors.
