Awarded Three Key Sales Awards During ICE 2000

Elmhurst, Illinois - November 9, 2000: Fitz Chem Corporation, a leading Midwest distributor/sales agent of raw materials to the Paint & Coatings, Plastics, Rubber, Ink and Adhesives Industries, announced today that it was recently the recipient of three prestigious sales awards from CIMBAR Performance Minerals.

The awards - Highest Sales Increase, Highest Total Sales and Outstanding Sales Person (given to Technical Industry Manager, Don Tersigni) - were handed out during the CIMBAR Awards Dinner held during ICE 2000. Surrounded by distinguished colleagues from the industry, Fitz Chem was honored with three out of the four awards given on October 17th at Navy Pier's Shakespeare Theatre, Skyline Room. In attendance to accept the awards on behalf of Fitz Chem was Don Tersigni, Technical Industry Manager, and Ed Croco, VP - Marketing. All of the awards are proudly displayed in Fitz Chem's home office located in Elmhurst, Illinois.

CIMBAR Performance Minerals is the largest producer of barium sulfate products in the world, providing various grades of barites, strontium sulfate, bentonites and organophilic clays. Their headquarters is located in Cartersville, Georgia.

FITZ CHEM Sales Team Welcomes John Sperry
Appointed Technical Industry Manager

Elmhurst, Illinois - October 25, 2000: Fitz Chem Corporation, a leading Midwest distributor/sales agent of raw materials to the Paint & Coatings, Plastics, Rubber, Ink and Adhesives Industries, announced today that John Sperry has accepted an appointment as Technical Industry Manager specializing in the Ink and Adhesives industries for the Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Western Michigan area.

Sperry comes to Fitz Chem with a strong technical background in the Ink Industry. He brings with him almost 10 years experience with Flint Ink Corporation and Color Converting Industries. His responsibilities with these organizations included marketing and sales to heatset, newsink, sheetfed and various packaging accounts. His contacts and experience within these industries will prove useful in selling Fitz Chem's line of available products.

Sperry graduated from Kent State University with a BBA in Business Management. He currently resides in Chicago.


Astacio Moves from Inventor Coordinator to Customer Service Team
Effective August, 2000

Elmhurst, Illinois - August 30, 2000: Fitz Chem Corporation, a leading Midwest distributor/sales agent of raw materials to the Paint & Coatings, Plastics, Rubber, Ink and Adhesives Industries, is pleased to announce that Sandy Astacio has joined it's Customer Service team.

As a member of Fitz Chem's Customer Service team, Astacio's essential duties and responsibilities are to maintain customer relations and process in-coming product orders. The position involves confirmation of pricing, maintaining customer codes and ensuring proper inventory is available. In addition, she ensures Fitz Chem's customers are supplied with accurate and detailed shipping information. Astacio joined Fitz Chem in July of 1999 and previously held the position of Inventory Coordinator.

When asked to comment on her transition, Astacio stated: "Although I enjoyed my role as Inventory Coordinator for Fitz Chem, the position of Customer Service Representative will allow me to expand upon my skills and become more involved with both Fitz Chem and our customers. I look forward to the new challenge."


Fitz Chem Sales Team Welcomes Jim Podgorny
Appointed Technical Industry Manager

Elmhurst, Illinois - August 22, 2000: Fitz Chem Corporation, a leading Midwest distributor/sales agent of raw materials to the Paint & Coatings, Plastics, Rubber, Ink and Adhesives Industries, announced today that Jim Podgorny has accepted an appointment as Technical Industry Manager specializing in the Paint & Coatings industries for the Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa area.

Podgorny comes to Fitz Chem with a strong technical background. Prior to accepting the position with Fitz Chem, Podgorny was Technical Representative for Alox Corporation. There he was responsible for selling additives for the metalworking, rust preventive, coating and cleaner industries in the Midwest and Western regions of the United States. The position was highly technical in nature. During customer visits, Podgorny would work with customers on laboratory projects and make detailed product presentations. His contacts within the metalworking industries will prove useful in selling Fitz Chem's line of available products.

Podgorny graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in Biology. He is also an active member of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE). He currently resides in Lockport, Illinois with his wife, Wendy, and their three children, Alexander, Kevin and Julia.


Volpe is Newest Member of Fitz Chem Customer Service Team

Elmhurst, Illinois - July 20, 2000: Fitz Chem Corporation, a leading Midwest distributor/sales agent of raw materials to the Paint & Coatings, Plastics, Rubber, Ink and Adhesives Industries, welcomes it's newest member, Jennifer Volpe, to it's Customer Service team.

Volpe joined Fitz Chem's Customer Service team in the beginning of May. Her essential duties and responsibilities are to maintain customer relations and process in-coming product orders. The position involves confirmation of pricing, maintaining customer codes and ensuring proper inventory is available. In addition, Jennifer ensures Fitz Chem's customers are supplied with accurate and detailed shipping information. Prior to joining Fitz Chem, Volpe honed her customer service skills working as Customer Service Manager for U.S.A. Drives, Inc. in Burr Ridge, IL.

When asked to comment on her position, Volpe stated: "The role of Customer Service Representative is a vital function for Fitz Chem. I have a special relationship with the customer and find it rewarding and satisfying to see the positive impact of my efforts on a daily basis."

The announcement of award winners was received via letter from Bruce Matta, Account Manager - Distributor Group. Matta singled out Fitz Chem Technical Industry Managers, Jack Krish and David Crenshaw, for their outstanding performance within their individual sales territories. In addition, he announced Fitz Chem would be awarded a plaque for "Largest Number of New Customers in 1999."

Elmhurst, Illinois - February 9, 2000: Fitz Chem Corporation, a leading Midwest distributor/sales agent of raw materials to the Paint, Coatings, Plastics, Rubber, Ink and Adhesives Industries, announced today that they have been appointed as distributor for Milwhite, Inc.'s attapulgite clay and gel products in the territory of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Minnesota, effective February 15, 2000.

Milwhite is a Specialty Mineral Company, dedicated to non-metallic minerals for the paints, coatings, ceramic, chemical, agricultural and pet product industries. The company's line of attapulgite products -- manufactured at the attapulgite processing plant in Attapulgus, Georgia -- have a wide variety of industrial applications. The colloidal grades are thickening, gelling, stabilizing and thixotropic agents with applications from paints to pet products; sorptive grades are used for decolorizing and clarifying, and as herbicide carriers, refining aids, and pet litters.

G-CURE® Acrylic Polyol Resins and SOVERMOL® Polyol product lines.

In addition to representing a variety of other products for Cognis Coatings & Inks Division --defoamers, dispersants, rheology modifiers, mildewcides, fungicides, associative thickeners, anti-settling agents and ink resins -- Fitz Chem has been given approval, effective January 1, 2000, to represent Cognis for G-CURE® Acrylic Polyol Resins and SOVERMOL® Polyols.
